Presenters of part 1 : Mr. Shinki Noguchi, Mr. Akira Okada and Miss Crina Costan

This workshop explores how AI —together with AR/VR— can serve as a foundation for knowledge management across the substation lifecycle, rather than simply as support tools.
Participants will experience how AI evolves from basic assistance to knowledge-based decision support, while also considering how immersive technologies (AR/VR) can enhance knowledge transfer and on-site understanding.
The session will also address practical challenges in adoption, including tacit knowledge transfer, AI-related risks, and organizational readiness.
In short, it examines how these technologies can be embedded as practical partners to enable continuous knowledge creation and use.

Presenters of part 2 : Ms. Logan Rolles, Jeff Camden, George Becker

This workshop provides the opportunity for the Working Group (WG) to collaborate with those attending and identify topics that are critical to the development of the Technical Brochure (TB) for Process for Commissioning and Inspection of Air Insulated Substations (AIS) and Gas Insulated Substations (GIS).
Practices for substation commissioning and inspection vary from company to company without a standard or a defined set of best practices.

This TB will collect the best utility practices and provide guidance, outlines and checklists for work on new and existing substations.
Contractors and new types of asset owners, i.e. data centers, gas companies, etc. who are unfamiliar or don’t have standardized commissioning and inspection processes, are tasked with commissioning and inspection.
This brochure will be an appreciated guide by the industry and asset owners.
