In 2020 a new CIGRE working group was started to investigate Dielectric Dissipation Factor (DDF) measurement and capacitance measurement results on complete stator windings. The working group developed a questionnaire and performed a survey to collect information. In total 71 questionnaires were filled in and returned together with 4466 measurement sets on 2330 stator windings. These measurement sets came from stator windings of 66 different manufacturers that were produced in 32 countries. The work of the working group is published in two parts:
• Part 1 survey answers
• Part 2 analysis of results
In the tutorial both topics will be addressed

This tutorial presents the key findings, survey feedback, and recommendations from the CIGRE Working Group A1.63 report titled 'Turbo Generator Stator Winding Bushing Design and Field Experience'. The report investigates design features, maintenance strategies, operational experience, and failure mechanisms of generator bushings used in large turbine generators.
