The 2024 Paris Session will be a very special edition! This year our iconic event will be taking place next to another iconic event that is the 2024 Olympic Games. As many of you were wondering how this might affect the Paris Session, we would like to address some of your concerns:

First, note that the Paris Session will be taking place after the Olympic Games that will end on August 11th. Which means that almost everything will be back to normal on the 25th, the first day of the Paris Session. However, the Paralympic Games will be starting on the 28th of August but these will have much less impact on the city compared to the Olympic Games.

The Central Office and its partners are making and will continue to make every effort to limit as much as possible the inconvenience caused to delegates, exhibitors and visitors by the proximity of the Games. This includes both accommodation and travel conditions in Paris.

Moreover, parisian professionals are ready to welcome you in the best possible conditions, in a Paris that has undergone unprecedented renewal in terms of urban development, culture and tourism.

Parisian hoteliers welcome you under the same conditions as usual

  • Apart from the specific 15-day period of the Olympic Games, there is still plenty of availability in hotels in Paris. Book your accommodation for the Paris Session here>>
  • Although there is a logical rise in prices during the 15 days of the Olympic Games, this is not reflected during the rest of the spring, summer, and autumn in Paris. Nor is it observed during the Paralympic Games, from 28 August to 8 September.

Tourism activities are operating as normal, with a rich cultural programme

  • Attractions, museums, and monuments will be open and accessible as usual.
  • This period will also be an opportunity to enjoy a new experience, as the urban space gradually takes on the ‘Look of the Games’.

Organized, anticipated traffic flow in Paris

  • Except for 3 closed metro station (Concorde, Champs Elysées Clémenceau and Tuileries) during the Games, public transport will operate as normal.
  • Most popular tourist areas such as Montmartre, the Left Bank (Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Montparnasse, Luxembourg, the Latin Quarter…), the Marais, Opéra, and all the east of Paris will not be affected.

Major progress in Accessibility

  • For the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, the city has been working hard to improve its accessibility for people with disabilities. These improvements are already perceptible everywhere in Paris (bus and tramway lines; taxi companies, etc.). The G7 taxi company offers 210 vehicles with ramps.
